MURR takes pride in offering jewellery of distinct designs and high quality.
Our products are fashioned from a diverse range of materials including 925 sterling silver, brass, semi-precious stones, leather, freshwater pearls and cubic zirconias.
As most Murr Designs are hand-created, you may notice variations in the pattern, size and colour of components.
Never expose your jewellery to chemicals and acids such as perfumes, makeup, hairspray, household chemicals and chlorine. These can discolour and deteriorate your jewellery. Do not leave your silver lying on bare wood, especially oak, which contains an acid that can react with silver.
Silver has a tendency to tarnish faster in humid and salty conditions. It may be gently wiped with a silver polishing cloth to remove any tarnish. Most MURR silver jewellery has been rhodium plated to prevent tarnishing and to prolong the life of the piece.
Our brass jewellery has been silver plated and may eventually show signs of wear, especially underneath ring bands and on chains. Constant wiping with cleaning cloths can cause the plating to wear away at a faster rate than normal. Do not wear your brass jewellery in water or in contact with chemicals as this can damage the plating. If your plating has worn, we can organise re-plating for a small charge. Make it a point not to lay all your jewellery on top of each other to prevent scratching of stones and metal. Faceted stones may chip or break if knocked or dropped on its sharp points. Do not wear stone jewellery whilst cleaning or doing labour intensive work. Semi-precious stone jewellery should be stored individually in a cloth pouch.
Leather is a natural material made from the raw hides of animals and treated with tanning agents. To keep your MURR leather looking vibrant avoid contact with food, dust, grime and body oils as much as possible. Each item will differ slightly due to the unique characteristics of leather. It is designed to age with wear and soften gradually over time.
Natural pearls should not come in contact with water. If you need to clean your pearls, gently wipe them with a soft, dry cloth. We recommend having pearl or gemstone strands rethreaded every 12 months, preferably with each bead individually knotted.
Your jewellery may break or damage if dropped or knocked. We cannot take responsibility for rough treatment. Our pieces are delicate so please wear with care and store separately in a pouch or box to avoid damage.
SIZING CHART
Please refer to our Ring Size chart to convert your finger size between the US system and the UK system. Murr Designs uses the Australian/ UK sizing system. If you are unsure what your ring size is, you can visit any local jeweller and have your finger sized.
If you have ordered the wrong finger size, please contact Murr Designs within 10 days of receiving your ring. We will happily swap your ring for another ring size of the same design (only H, L, M or P available) if the ring is in its original, unused condition with tags attached. Please note that postage to send your ring to Murr Designs will be at your own expense, however we will post your new ring back to you complimentary.
